Inspired by the controversial Age of Enlightenment and by the 18th-century French philosopher Diderot's very first set of encyclopaedia, the resulting choreography is both physical and immediate, yet intensely cerebral.

The Trinity Laban BA2 Historical Project is a chance for the next generation of contemporary dancers to not only immerse themselves in some of the most admired and ground-breaking 20th and 21st century works from esteemed choreographers, but learn directly from company artists themselves. Unlike re-creating from notation or video recordings, the dancers gain an embodied understanding of each piece – an experience unlike any other in their student lives.
